Larrivee Jumbo acoustic guitar is not part of the standard model in existing Catalog, this is a Recording Deluxe Edition with Deluxe Mahogany inlays on fretboard & bridge (similar to 10 series) that enhance the value of this beautifull guitar.

Jean Larrivee is a seasoned guitar luthier, he hand-picked, harvested, cut & naturally dries up his tone woods stock by himself at his own facility. By doing this Larrivee have full control over their raw materials preparation & quality before production run. The guitar making industry is all about getting the right good quality of timber such as the Indian Rosewood in this J-03R, he carefully select the best 1 (one) piece of Rosewood back for this large size of Jumbo Rosewood Deluxe Edition.

 

The J-03R traits

Jumbo guitar is the biggest size among others, lower bout is 17" (43.2CM), upper bout is 12.5" (32CM), body length from neck/body joint to bottom = 20.75" (53CM), body thickness = 5".

With this size & the symmetrical bracing Larrivee Jumbo guitar, it delivers full harmonic of sound almost equally well from low to higher pitches. The low bass is the deepest & thunderous sound compare to other shapes, clear mid-tones, sweet & deep trebles as the result of the very wide sitka spruce top & large body cavity help producing massive acoustic wave propagation when you strum/pluck the strings. The Larrivee  J-03R Jumbo acoustic guitars is for serious guitar players.

About the J-03R strings

When open from the box, the factory had stringed it with D'Addario EXP16 as the standard strings. However, option are available especially if you want to try it with the Cleartone Phosphor Bronze Light gauge or the Bluegrass gauge. Cleartone has the thinnest coated strings which deliver richer & bigger volume to your guitars.
