Vintage® HistoricSeries
The blues OO (Parlor OO) guitar 1920s finger-style
The Historic Series offer one thing in common, visually is a combine looks of Gibson L1 (1928 pre-war OO), a little bit of Washburn vintage bridge & sunburst taste, the Larson Brothers’ like (the faux white sound-hole binding) identity, gorgeous vintage sunburst top with slotted head & rosewood head cap. The historic series guitars boast great playability and build quality, bags of ‘Delta-Blues’ tonal potential and a ready pick-up system, all packed in an old persona that helps them stand-out from crowded brands in the market.
The Vintage VE880VB is an OO size suitable for finger-style players with solid spruce top, mahogany back/side series, slotted head with open gear butterbean tuners offers fantastic value. We find the Fishman Sonicore pick-up system combined with the Fishman sound-hole Matrix VT pre-amp as a good choice for gigs ready instrument without compromising its “Mississippi Blues” pre-war guitars style.
The mahogany body has a touch of mid-range honk which adds characters in blues and root style. The vintage sunburst satin open pores finish allows the guitar to breath and seasoned over the time for maximum vibration & resonance.

It has 43mm nut width and nicely 55mm strings spacing on saddle, nicely curved medium C shape neck, rosewood fret-board with bevelled edges that is easy to play and friendly on your fingers grip. Luthier Guitar team carefully doing the set-up one by one again on top of the factory’s standard set-up to ensure comfortable when playing it.
The build echoes the US Mississippi Delta blues instruments back in 1920s, typified with solid spruce top, mahogany body, with vintage rec’t bridge style.
Vintage has been making other acoustic brands around this style & prices nervous, by offering full retro bluesy sound, great playability & maximal vibe at bargain price. A must consider model for guitar collectors & guitarist who want to recreate an authentic vintage blues music.
