Washburn WD7SCE Harvest Series — Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric

There is a category of guitar that defies its price — one that sounds like an investment, plays like a privilege, and belongs equally at a first open-mic and a seasoned songwriter's rehearsal. The Washburn WD7SCE earns that rare distinction. A flagship expression of the Harvest Series, it pairs tonewoods of genuine character with stage-ready electronics and the kind of playability that inspires longer sessions.

A Top That Earns Its Keep

At the heart of the WD7SCE is a solid Sitka Spruce top, quarter-sawn and braced with scalloped, scalloped Sitka Spruce — a construction philosophy borrowed from instruments at far higher price points. The result is a projection that opens up over time, with note separation that flatters both fingerpicked arpeggios and confident strummed chords. There is a clarity here that synthetic tops simply cannot replicate, and it is immediately apparent on the first note.

Warmth in the Wood

Select Mahogany back and sides complement the spruce top with focused warmth and a pronounced midrange — the tonal signature that has made the spruce-mahogany pairing a studio and stage staple for decades. The gloss finish Dreadnought body resonates freely, while the cutaway profile grants unobstructed access to the upper register without sacrificing body depth or volume.

A Neck Built for Hours

The satin-finished Mahogany neck strikes the balance every serious player gravitates toward — substantial enough to feel grounded, smooth enough to move without effort. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge add tactile warmth and sustain, while the Washburn Heritage rosette lends the instrument its quietly distinguished character. This is a guitar that disappears in your hands and lets the music lead.

Electronics Worthy of the Stage

The onboard Washburn EQT-4 preamp is a full-featured system: a 4-band equaliser covering bass, mid, treble, and presence, alongside master volume, a notch filter for feedback control, a battery indicator, and a built-in LCD chromatic tuner. From a clean acoustic signal to a shaped, room-filling amplified tone, the EQT-4 gives you precise, reliable control at every volume level.

The Guitar That Goes Everywhere

In its gloss finish, the WD7SCE carries itself with understated elegance — a guitar as composed on a café stage as it is around a campfire, as at ease in a recording room as it is in a living room session. It is, in every sense, the ideal companion for the player who refuses to compromise on tone regardless of the setting.
